The Division of Human-Environmental Science approaches such familiar issues as clothing, drinking water, architecture, and medical welfare from the standpoint of science and engineering in an aim to discover ways to resolve problems. Amid expectations to return to society the outcomes of research into scientific technology, the division fulfills a pioneering role by focusing on themes related to lifestyle and environment.
